James Chau is the host of The China Current. A long-time news anchor, he has earned a special reputation for his television interviews with world leaders, including Nobel Peace Prize laureates Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan, Muhammad Yunus and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, as well as Christine Lagarde, Jane Goodall and Madam Peng Liyuan. James is a World Health Organization (WHO) Goodwill Ambassador. Previously, he was a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador, the person in China named to this role. Born in London, James studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated from Cambridge University. He completed an Executive Education course on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
