Prevention at scale

We enable uninterrupted access to effective, evidence-based HIV prevention services.

A group of IAS programmes work together to mobilize political will and resources to keep HIV prevention high on the agenda and advocate for quality services for those most vulnerable to HIV. They do this through strengthening country leadership, aligning partners and ensuring that community priorities are at the centre of prevention services.

Person-Centred Care and Differentiated Service Delivery support countries in maintaining access to proven interventions while accelerating the introduction of new prevention technologies. The IAS prevention initiative supports the building of regionally led advocacy on HIV prevention, anchored in scientific evidence and community priorities while promoting prevention choice through diverse delivery approaches.

By taking the latest evidence on prevention to regional stakeholders, the IAS Educational Fund translates science into policy and practice. Through capacity building, networking and access to funding for young people living with or affected by HIV, the IAS Youth Hub fuels fresh youth-led approaches to HIV prevention.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
