Sustainability of an evidence-based HIV response

We support decision makers to maintain strong, evidence-based HIV responses at global, regional and local levels.

As countries take more ownership of their HIV responses, several IAS programmes align partners and build capacity to build resilient, efficient HIV responses that are informed by evidence and can adapt to changing needs.

Translating research into practice, Differentiated Service Delivery ensures that service delivery adaptations are evidence based and embedded in national systems. The programme advances simplified, more integrated models that draw on digital tools and AI. Bridging the gap between science, policy and action, the IAS Educational Fund keeps stakeholders updated on the latest HIV research and its implication for national responses.

The IAS Youth Hub and Person-Centred Care ensure that communities and advocates have a voice in shaping services that are inclusive and stigma-free. Towards an HIV Cure, meanwhile, mobilizes communities to participate in cure research and advocate for equitable access built into every stage, from discovery through delivery.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
