Yvette D’Ath was elected to represent the State electorate of Redcliffe in a by-election in 2014. She has long had an affinity with the local area, attending Redcliffe State High School as a student and living locally with her family. At the 2014 by-election, Yvette entered the Queensland Legislative Assembly as the Member for Redcliffe. At the 2015 State Election, Yvette was re-elected to the seat of Redcliffe and, in March of that year, was appointed Queensland’s Attorney-General, Minister for Justice and Minister for Training and Skills. In October 2020, the Palaszczuk Government was re-elected and Yvette was appointed as Queensland’s Minister for Health and Ambulance Services at a critical time in the State’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yvette is proud to serve as Queensland’s Minister for Health and Ambulance Services and remains unwavering in her dedication to ensuring that all Queenslanders receive quality healthcare.
