Doan Thanh Tung is the Executive Director at Lighthouse Social Enterprise, led by and serving young key populations in Vietnam. Tung has an International Master’s of Public Health from Hanoi Medical University and more than 12 years’ experience as an HIV and LGBTIQ activist, public health practitioner and community health worker. His work includes designing, managing and implementing health and rights programmes targeted at young key populations using a person-centred approach. Tung is a founding member of the Chemsex in Asia Platform and established the Lighthouse one-stop clinic and centre for young key populations. He received the 2019 HERO Award in the young achiever category and awards from the Ministry of Health and network of people living with HIV (Red Ribbon Award). In 2020, Forbes listed him among 30 Under 30 for his and Lighthouse’s contributions to addressing social issues in Vietnam.
