Wilton Bryan Williams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Sciences, and a primary member of the Duke Human Vaccine Institute (DHVI) at the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, USA. He also has a secondary appointment in the Department of Immunology. He holds multiple leadership positions in the DHVI, including Director for the Viral Genetics and Analysis Core Facility and Co-Director for the Training and Mentoring Program. Wilton studied HIV pathogenesis at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and pursued postdoctoral studies in HIV immunobiology and vaccine development at Duke University. He joined the faculty at Duke University following his postdoctoral studies. Currently, in the Department of Surgery, his research focuses on B cell repertoire analyses in humans, and neonate and adult rhesus macaques.
