AIDS 2026, the 26th International AIDS Conference

Language interpretation services

To ensure that AIDS 2026 is as inclusive and accessible as possible, interpretation will be available in over 60 languages. This service allows you to fully engage with key conference sessions – both virtually and in person – without language barriers.

Interpretation will be provided for all sessions except workshops and Global Village activities.

To access interpretation, please have your phone and headphones ready. Simply scan the QR code provided in each session room, select your preferred language, and click “Join”. You will then have the option of reading captions or listening to audio.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. While our AI-powered interpretation software is highly accurate, occasional translation errors may occur. We offer automated translation services to make our content as widely accessible as possible. Although efforts have been made to train this technology, it may not always respect the people-first language of the original version.

As headphones will not be provided, we kindly ask that you bring your own to avoid disrupting others during live interpretation. Your cooperation ensures a pleasant experience for all conference participants.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
