Elections

IAS Members elect the IAS Governing Council from a pool of HIV professionals who are world leaders in their fields. These key leadership positions influence the thematic work and advocacy of the IAS, and we invite you to make your voice heard.

Your involvement can go further than making a nomination or casting a vote – you can stand for election and contribute your leadership skills and ideas.

The IAS Governing Council

The IAS Governing Council is the thought leadership body of the IAS. Its members are democratically elected every two years. They are charged with guiding and contributing to the thematic work of the IAS and represent the interests of IAS Members in the regions.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
