Uniting science and community for an accelerated HIV response in Belize

IAS – the International AIDS Society – is organizing an IAS Educational Fund symposium, titled “Uniting science and community for an accelerated HIV response in Belize”, in Belize City, Belize, on 29 April. The meeting is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness and the National AIDS Commission and in partnership with Go Joven Belize.      

Speakers and participants will discuss:

  • Key messages from IAS 2025 and other international conferences
  • The current HIV response in Belize
  • Accelerating innovative interventions in prevention
  • The role of mental health in the HIV response 
  • Closing the gaps to reach the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets

The symposium is open to clinicians, health and social service providers, researchers, policy makers, activists, members of key and vulnerable populations, and representatives of people living with HIV.
