Tisha Wheeler is a Director, Global Health Policy, at Roche Diagnostics, in Washington, D.C. As part of the greater health policy and advocacy effort at Roche, she will build upon the work that has enabled access to affordable, high-quality diagnostics for infectious diseases across low- and middle-income countries.

She has spent her career in health policy working with governments, civil society and the private sector. Before joining Roche, she was with the U.S. Agency for International Development, where she served as a deputy principal on the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Tisha joined PEPFAR in 2012 after a six-year tenure at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she worked as a technical advisor for global health delivery, based in New Delhi and Washington, D.C. Before that, she lived in Africa, where she led the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in establishing an HIV response in Southern Sudan.

Tisha holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree from Sonoma State University.

A native of Alaska, Tisha divides her time between her dog, her family and her passion for distance running. She loves watching movies, baking bread, tasting champagne and spending summers in Italy.
