What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

Coming from a high HIV-prevalence setting, I was affected by HIV. I vowed to make a difference to those living with and without HIV by optimizing treatment and prevention regimens and improving adherence to treatment and care.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

My goals are to improve virological and mental health outcomes in perinatal adolescent girls and young women with HIV and to reduce new HIV acquisitions in infants born to adolescent and young mothers living with HIV, for themselves and their children.

The IAS promotes the use of non-stigmatizing, people-first language. The translations are all automated in the interest of making our content as widely accessible as possible. Regretfully, they may not always adhere to the people-first language of the original version.
