There is growing interest in experimental medicine for the development of an HIV vaccine. Experimental medicine can accelerate the progress of the most pertinent HIV vaccine candidates through the development pipeline. However, these trials come with many challenges, including approval of study protocols by regulatory authorities and agencies and Ethics Review Committees.
This event will follow in the steps of previous Enterprise webinars that discussed experimental medicine research. It will bring regulators, scientists, clinicians and industry and community representatives together to discuss how to improve knowledge and capabilities of regulatory authorities to assess experimental medicine clinical research in high-income and low- and middle-income countries.
