This webinar builds on the principles and approaches explored in the course, “Introduction to advocacy for HIV healthcare providers”, developed by the Mark Wainberg Fellowship Programme at IAS – the International AIDS Society – in collaboration with IAS+.The webinar will offer a learning opportunity to draw on the same foundations of inclusive, rights-based and evidence-informed advocacy explored throughout the course.

The webinar will provide participants with a practical introduction to advocacy approaches relevant to healthcare providers working in HIV and related health settings. Particular attention will be given to advocacy directed towards policy makers, communities and health systems, with reflection on the realities and opportunities for advocacy in limited-income settings.
