Boniface is an economist and statistician by training and responsible for managing Access to HIV, Hepatitis, and STIs Medicines and Diagnostics in the World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Global HIV, Hepatitis and STIs (HHS) programme. This portfolio is made up of: a transparency project, which involves global price reporting to evaluate procurement performances and drug regulatory status to assess in-country registration of formulations; forecasting efforts for HIV, hepatitis and STIs, including demand forecasts for paediatric and adult formulations and CD4, viral load and rapid diagnostics tests); and ARV use surveys to identify which formulations and regimens are used in first, second and third lines in countries and a procurement and supply management (PSM) toolbox. Boniface also provides technical assistance in PSM and logistics management and information systems.
