What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

I am passionate about research, youth advocacy, leadership and mentorship. In this field, I enjoy offering mentorship of young people, especially on life skills. Helping them make better choices gives me pleasure. I enjoy working in the HIV field because I can contribute to creating awareness about the pandemic. My community has many young men, adolescents and young women who need me as a mentor to help them achieve their goals and also healthy lifestyles.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

I look forward to crafting policies and youth-friendly programmes that will help my generation end the pandemic. Second, I want to offer mentorship and use my research skills to contribute to finding solutions to the challenges that the HIV pandemic has brought for young people.
