What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

HIV is a complex and multifactorial problem that carries enormous challenges – and I love challenges. The complexity of the virus itself and its disease mechanisms and its effects on an individual, social and economic level does not leave me indifferent. This impact is greater in more vulnerable populations. It is a job that leaves us fulfilled and deserves all our commitment.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

My goals are to:

  1. Equip myself with as much competence as possible in different fields of action in HIV to positively influence the dynamics of HIV in my region and the care provided to people living with HIV.
  2. Find opportunities to access leadership spaces with great impact on the lives of the people.
  3. Be part of a network of people and organizations interested in controlling and eradicating the HIV pandemic in order to be stronger and more resilient to the challenges it presents.
