What inspires you to work in the HIV field?

The efforts made to date in the HIV response worldwide have achieved very encouraging results in reducing prevalence, particularly in certain regions of Africa. However, there are still certain populations, such as adolescents living on the streets and other populations who are vulnerable and, because of their specific contexts, sometimes fall through the cracks of HIV strategies and programmes.

What are your goals as an IAS change maker?

I am a medical researcher specializing in public health and HIV research in particular. I would like to help identify issues that may explain the challenges we are still facing in the HIV response and propose studies to better understand and address these challenges in order to make proposals for solutions or sustainable HIV prevention programmes, particularly among children and adolescents.
