Caroline Sabin, PhD, FMedSci, is Professor of Medical Statistics and Epidemiology at UCL and the Director of the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Blood-Borne and Sexually Transmitted Infections at UCL. Caroline’s interests are in describing the natural history of HIV infection, identifying prognostic markers, describing responses and adverse events to antiretroviral therapy, and describing the pattern of ageing among people living with HIV. She established the UK Collaborative HIV Cohort (UK CHIC) Study, was the principal statistician for the D:A:D Study, and is the co-PI for the Pharmacokinetic Observations in PeoPle over fiftY (POPPY) study. She has an extensive publication history and is co-Editor-in-Chief of HIV Medicine.
