The rapid pace of scientific discovery in care for people living with HIV and AIDS requires that clinicians and other HIV service providers always remain up to date on research developments and best practices.
IAS Educational Fund Scholarships enable participants to attend the International AIDS Conference and the IAS Conference on HIV Science, where they gain knowledge and understanding of the latest scientific discoveries in the care of people living with HIV. Since 2016, over 12,000 people have shown their interest in the IAS Educational Fund Scholarship Programme by submitting their applications, and the IAS has supported a total of 1,427 healthcare providers and advocates.
With these scholarships, participants can not only attend international conferences, but also take away what they learn and present that knowledge back home. This is an essential step in ensuring that the research and implementation breakthroughs presented at the International AIDS Conference and the IAS Conference on HIV Science move from in-person meetings to communities.
The 2022 IAS Educational Fund Scholarship Programme is made possible through an independent educational grant from ViiV Healthcare.
