The IAS Board and staff are saddened to share the loss of our friend, Bob Monk. Bob has been an AIDS activist since 1987--the year he tested positive.  From that time, he has been an active supporter and educator to the HIV/AIDS community.    Bob dedicated his life to HIV education and advocacy. Tribute to Dr. Suniti Solomon

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Dr. Suniti Solomon, a pioneer of HIV research and treatment in India. Dr. Solomon documented India’s first HIV case in 1986 when blood samples of six commercial sex workers tested positive.
