If you are an IAS member and have forgotten your username and password you have two options:
  1. Go to the Member Login on the IAS website and click “Forgot your Username or password? You will receive the username and password only if you enter the same email address that is in our database
  2. If you do not remember the email address in your member account, you can request your username and password from IAS Member Service by email ([email protected]). However, the IAS needs to have your full name to be able to retrieve your username and password.
Members have free access to their personal information and can make changes in their profile and contact information at any time. To do so, go to the Members' Area and use your login details to access your private profile on your personal page.
  1. To have the opportunity to search for and contact other HIV professionals, and have access to the Job Vacancies in HIV database, in the Members’ Area on our website.
  2. To receive a 32-56% discount on AIDS, an official journal of the IAS.
  3. To receive a 40-80% discount on Health[e]Foundation’s online courses.
  4. To receive a 15% discount on the publication fee for accepted articles in the Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS).
  5. To receive the free electronic IAS newsletter which contains analysis, information and recent events relevant to HIV professionals, as well as the monthly e-update.
  6. To be the first to receive the latest information about upcoming IAS Conferences.
  7. To have the right to vote in IAS Governing Council Elections and at IAS General Members’ Meetings.
  8. . To be involved in IAS strategic planning.
  9. To participate in and receive results from IAS members’ surveys.
  10. To have access to the IAS Events Calendar, where you can post and access information about upcoming conferences and meetings in your region.
You can sign up for membership in the membership section of the IAS website (www.iasociety.org/Membership). There you will also find information about membership fees and methods of payment. You can pay the annual fee online by using a credit card, pay by bank transfer or money order, or in cash at any conference where the IAS is present.
The IAS has a differentiated fee structure for membership, including a multi-year discount. The membership year runs from the date of payment.Please visit the Membership Fees page for more information.
Payment can be made online, by bank transfer, by money order, or cash at any conference where the IAS is present. Please note that all bank fees and bank transfer costs must be prepaid by the transmitter.
Yes, provided that you ticked the “I wish to become an IAS member / renew my membership” box on the registration form, dedicating part of your registration to an IAS membership. There is no extra cost involved in ticking the box for membership when registering for an International AIDS Conference or an IAS Conference. Ticking or not ticking the box will not increase/reduce the registration fee for the conference.
To renew your membership online, please go to the membership page on the IAS website (www.iasociety.org/Membership.aspx), click on Renew Your Membership in the menu on the right and enter your login details.

You can pay the annual fee online by using a credit card, pay by bank transfer or money order, or in cash at any conference where the IAS is present.

You do not need to renew your membership if you have registered for the International AIDS Conference or the IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention, and have chosen to use a part of the registration fee for an IAS membership. In this case your membership will be extended automatically. You will receive an email notification when it has been done.
As an individual member you are entitled to subscribe to the journal AIDS at a 32-56% discount. The 56% discount is available to members residing in a country included in AIDS’ official listing. Please visit the Subscribe to AIDS Journal page to see the subscription rates for IAS members.

You need to be a paid IAS member to receive the discount. To subscribe, log on to the AIDS Journal Subscription page in the Members' Area.
