Abstract
Follow up survey findings after one year intervention amongst MSM in Dhaka.

Issue: HIV prevention project amongst MSM was operated for One year. The main objectives of the study were to assess the changes brought in terms of knowledge concerning HIV/AIDS. Description: Both the quantitative and qualitative data collection methods were used to carry out the follow up survey. Data were analyzed manually, processed through SPSS and finally the report was prepared through MS word. Summary of Findings: MSMs (Kotis) are invisible and socially unaccepted in Bangladesh though they are the most vulnerable people to HIV/AIDS. Though all the kotis are involved in making sex with male, nevertheless they have other occupations. Most of the kotis lead their livelihood needs depending on selling sex they were 61.6 per cent. The mean age at first sex is 12.18 per cent with the standard deviation of 3.24 years. Some kotis do not take money rather only enjoy making sex with man over anal track 98.0 per cent. They make oral sex (50%), use thigh for sex (43%), masturbate (11/2%). A true is that though the kotis make sex with illegal sex partner.They have gained knowledge about the symptoms, the way transmission and the way of prevention. The treatment practices also changed than the previous practices. They are aware about the use of condom and at present they ask their sex counterpart to use condom for safer health. They became aware about HIV/AIDS what they did not know about it. Recommendations „X Attractive counseling materials could be ensured. „X Transport facilities and communication means are essential for the project or organization in future for better result. „X It is essential to treat STD and examine the blood for HIV infection of Kotis as early as possible. „X Problem oriented counseling might be ensured.
