Issues:
Child abuse is very rampant in most industrialized country like the Philippines. These high risk children are also vulnerable in acquiring STDs,including HIV/AIDS.

Description:
Thus, a community-based outreach program was implemented through PATH -Philippines when a grant was received by Bidlisiw Foundation,Inc. from USAID. One - on -one education, risk reduction counselling and preventive case management was conducted by the program. Distribution of condoms and IEC materials were also given to support the activities. Series of trainings were also done by the program not only focusing the children alone but it also involves parents- child relationship, self - awareness, handling children and other issues related to reproductive health Interventions for children does not end up this way referrals for health care and home visits were done to follow - up and monitor the child's progress.Assistance such as balik - aral and livelihood opportunity were also given to support other needs towards behavior change.

Challenges:
Despite of the increase awareness raising, the risk remains the same because they were coerced to unprotected sex, lack of access to education and health care, economic problems and their priority is their basic needs.
